The Collection
Are the cushions really hand printed?
Yes. Each Hay & Co Studio pattern begins as an original hand-painted design before being carved into a wooden block and printed onto linen by hand. Each repeat is individually placed, creating the subtle variations that are part of the beauty of the process.
Will my cushions match if I order more later?
Our colourways are developed to carefully considered colour specifications so pieces purchased at different times will sit beautifully together. As our fabrics are printed by hand on natural linen, slight variations between batches are to be expected and are part of their individual character.
Do the covers come with an insert?
Cushion covers and inserts are sold separately, giving you the flexibility to use an insert you already own or purchase one from us.
Our feather inserts have been selected to give the cushions their relaxed, full shape.
What size insert do I need?
Choose an insert to correspond with the size shown on each product page. Our covers are designed to sit beautifully full once filled, rather than loose or under-filled.
Can I use a synthetic insert?
Absolutely. However, our cushions have been designed and styled using feather inserts, which create a softer, more relaxed finish. Synthetic inserts generally create a firmer and more structured shape.
What is the difference between the patterns?
Each pattern has its own scale, rhythm and personality, while sharing a considered colour palette that allows the collection to be layered effortlessly.

Do you make other sizes?
For now, the collection is intentionally edited to a small number of versatile sizes.

Care
Can I wash my cushion covers?
Yes. Remove the leather pull before washing, then wash gently in cold water. Line dry in the shade and warm iron while slightly damp if required.
Do not tumble dry, bleach or dry clean.
Always refer to the care instructions supplied with your cushion.
Will the colour fade?
As with all natural textiles, prolonged exposure to strong direct sunlight may cause fading over time. We recommend keeping your cushions away from harsh, continuous sunlight and always drying them in the shade.
Will linen crease?
Yes — beautifully so.
Linen is a natural fibre and its relaxed texture is part of its character. A little movement and creasing gives each cushion the effortless, lived-in quality we love.
What is the leather pull for?
Each cushion is finished with a small embossed leather pull at the zip as a signature Hay & Co Studio detail.
It can be unclipped before laundering and easily reattached afterwards.
Ordering & Delivery
How much is delivery?
Delivery is calculated at checkout based on your location and the size of your order, so you only pay for the shipping your order requires.
Do you ship internationally?
We offer international delivery to selected destinations. Any duties, taxes or import charges applied by the destination country are the responsibility of the recipient.
How long will my order take to arrive?
Once dispatched, Australian metropolitan deliveries generally arrive within approximately 2–4 business days, with regional and remote locations taking a little longer.
International delivery times vary by destination and will be shown where available during checkout.
Can I return something?
We accept returns within 30 days, provided the item is unused, unwashed and returned in its original condition with all tags and details attached.

Do you offer gift wrapping?
Every Hay & Co Studio order is thoughtfully presented in our branded packaging.
If your order is a gift, add a note at checkout and we can ensure pricing documentation is not included.
Trade & Custom
Do you offer trade pricing?
Yes. We offer trade access for interior designers, decorators, stylists and other eligible industry professionals, as well as wholesale opportunities for selected retailers.

Can I order a custom colourway?
Custom colourways may be possible for larger-scale projects and commercial quantities.
Please get in touch with details of your project, desired colour and approximate quantity and we can discuss what may be possible.
Can I buy Hay & Co Studio fabric by the metre?
Not currently. Our textiles are presently available exclusively as finished Hay & Co Studio pieces.
Fabric by the metre is something we may explore in the future, so please let us know if you would like us to consider this.
